Two scholarships of $500.00 and up to $300.00 of travel expenses documented by receipts are being offered to an active member of NABS who is a non-physician member of the burn team or physician-in-training or a new member who wishes to present on a burn-related topic at the 2009 Annual Meeting. It is expected that the applicant will be the primary author and presenter and will have had substantial input into the collection and interpretation of the results. The content may have been previously submitted to, or presented at, another meeting. A scholarship may be awarded to the same individual no more frequently than once every three years. Presenters should plan on 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
One of the annual scholarships will be designated “The David Beesinger Traveling Scholarship” in honor of David Beesinger, MD, the original president of the North American Burn Society.
